coming to an internets near you

Well, I may as well do some blogging now that I am in this window.

I have recently ordered a metric fuckton of supplies through the scary internet portal, and I’m still waiting on the majority of them.

The good news is this little story I’m gonna tell you right nows:

On Wednesday I was at work, at R6XX.com HQ, and I picked up a huge pile of the entire run of Transmetropoliton in TPB form, a few times over upon itself.

I sat down to get to work and then all of the sudden I felt a pain from my chest plate to by back below my shoulder blade. I thought my fatass ate one too many hamburgers, but after the pain in the front of my body stopped and I focused in on what was going on, I figured out that I fucked up my back somehow. Before you go and say that this was the curse of Spider Jerusalem on my astral ghostie, hear this…

My bossman was kind enough to take me home rather than have me stagger to the bus, and once I got there I found my brand new and expensive vinyl cutter sitting on my porch. It was a very rainy Portland day, and the cardboard was doing that thing where it was falling apart almost like it was just made of mud and spit. Luckly, I arrived at home at almost the exact moment before complete doom transpired, and once I got the box inside and examined its contents, everything was bone dry, even if there was soggy holes appearing on the worn parts of the box.

Perhaps there is some kind of lesson here, but I am too dense to know exactly what it is. Just lucky to have hurt my back at the right time.  So thats the good news.

My back is mostly alright now, although most of today I felt very groggy and just wanted to lay out due to Kava Kava abuse. Its a reminder that I’m getting older, and its something that I never actually thought about. I always kind of assumed I’d die young in some horrible pointless manner. Shucks. Where the fuck is my android body?

Anyways, I also got a new tablet [since my pen was missing], a mechanical alps switch mini keyboard, and a roll of heavyweight paper to do my stencil cuts with, using the machine.

As far as the machine goes, it turns out it might explode if I don’t have the right voltage coming out my walls, so I need to barrow a multimeter from a friend to make sure I don’t ruin everything. I’m anxious to plug it in and start outputting my vectors, but I have to wait just a little bit longer. This is something I have been wanting to get for about a year, its been tough! So with that in mind, its best to be patient, … I guess.

So yes, my apparel line is just around the corner, fucking finally. It certainly doesn’t stop there.

Also in less artistic and more nerdly news, I ordered the third New X-Men Hardcover for less than retail price [which used to fetch twice or three times the price at some point], and I got a Gamefly account, just got Zelda : Twilight Princess today. Zelda is pretty awesome, but I have a feeling I’m going to like Metroid 3 better.

I know life is going pretty well when all the things I’m saying would make my 13 year old self shit bricks about how cool I am. I have my doubts about my coolness most of the time, but that younger guy puts it in a nice perspective once in a while.

Don’t try to play Metroid 3 on Kava Kava if people are around watching. You won’t be able to use the grappling hook correctly and you’ll die many, many times, which will be boring for your audience.

It was funny when my friend tried this, at first. But he diligently kept going on, and on… and christ, it was starting to get masochistic. And boring.

Twilight Princess is fucking awesome. Midna, oh how I love you…

I had an experience like that with Ocarina of Time and way too much gellies. My ‘friend’ was like forcing me to play and beat level for him since he sucked so much ass at it.

    Ah, memories.

I’ve had a lot of fun the last few months playing “Goldeneye” against my niece and her friends on an N64 they have lying around. That is, until I turned them on to Urbanterror…..

hmm im lacking video game systems, so you got a machine that can do some crazy shit? that’s cool man. i really like how you say that about your young side. i have like a back up “ritual”..i didnt want to think about that girl and the explosive drama, so i read some like low quality comics…new warriors (not the most evocative) and stuff like that and i find it really healing to access an inner child whos not guilty of all these peoples perceptions. they are kinda aiming it at my current self. video games can definitly be healing. i tend to use strange healing methods to my psyche, everyone does does the average person do it on purpose or out of need? i dont know. all i know is cheesy things help me to balance out the harsher realitys
